Incompatible Software Integration with MD Suite
Incompatible Software Integration with MD Suite
Pros
MD Suite offers features that align well with our practices needs. Unfortunately, the integration of MD Suite into our practice has presented challenges.
Cons
We were not informed that MD Suite, being a "cloud-based" EHR, is not compatible with Windows 7. Despite not having changed our Windows platform since the installation, MD Suite decided not to provide customer support for Windows 7 users. This lack of support has caused significant issues for us.

Easy Appointment Scheduling with MDSuites
Easy Appointment Scheduling with MDSuites
Pros
The feature I appreciated the most about MDSuites was its ability to easily schedule appointments and keep track of weekly appointments. It proved to be a convenient tool for managing the clinics scheduling needs.
Cons
However, the primary issue we encountered when using MDSuites was the limitation on the number of individuals who could log in simultaneously. This restriction caused difficulties when multiple staff members needed access to the software at the same time.

Significant Issues with MD Suite
Significant Issues with MD Suite
Pros
One positive aspect of MD Suite is the LOS calculator, which proves to be useful. The ability to create templates for encounters, notes, and orders is also appreciated.
Cons
Unfortunately, our experience with MD Suite has been quite negative. The implementation and post-installation support were terrible, with little accountability from the company. The cloud-based system we utilized was incredibly slow and frequently experienced hangs. Navigating various areas of the chart was challenging, as only one tab could be viewed at a time. Script errors were a common occurrence, and the software would randomly lose or fail to save important portions of the chart. Editing the OB flow sheet required opening a new encounter, limiting efficiency. Completed notes were saved as unalterable PDF files, preventing addendums. The review bin for labs required repetitive refreshing to clear out old results. Support was unhelpful in resolving these issues, and the lack of tablet or phone support added to the frustration. Additionally, the softwares ICD codes did not align with the actual codes in the manuals, leading to potential confusion.

User-Friendly Software with Helpful Support
User-Friendly Software with Helpful Support
Pros
MD Suite offers user-friendly software that is easy for most office staff to use without extensive training. They also provide ample instructional videos, making it even easier to navigate and utilize the product. The updates are timely and the support provided is helpful, without the need to go through lengthy phone trees. Additionally, their support was especially valuable when transitioning from Compumedic to MD Suite.
Cons
However, there are a few drawbacks to consider. Updating the server can be a challenging task, particularly if you have separate transmission and application servers. The requirement of SQL for management purposes can also be cumbersome, especially when dealing with a corrupted database. Additionally, software support can be costly without a contract, and some users may find the interface layout reminiscent of older Windows versions.

Exceptional Support from MD Suite
Exceptional Support from MD Suite
Pros
The level of support we received from MD Suite during a challenging period was truly exceptional. They went above and beyond to assist us with our Electronic Health Record (EHR) issues, providing us with valuable guidance and assistance.
Cons
However, its important to note that our negative experience was primarily due to our hardware support person and not MD Suite itself. This particular individual caused more difficulties for us rather than the software or the company itself.
