I have had a negative experience with the company. They have been dishonest, disorganized and charged for services they didn't fulfill.
Cons
Anaplan out of nowhere disabled the product without notifying us. They acknowledged the products malfunction for several weeks but didn't offer a refund. All we have to do is wait instead for the contract to expire.

I use this cloud based planning tool to run my business team and plan and achieve our goals. Anaplan makes data modeling easy and its built in calculation engine works incredibly well.
Cons

For a big companies it has a lot of features for data flow and analysis which may be suitable for others. However I would like to mention that with my limited budgeting capacity, its not ideal for my needs.

This software provides so many different advantages. Its real time calculation is the standout feature. It is easy to set up and operate providing instant results and accommodating businesses at every level. There are also multiple customization options available for user convenience.
Cons
Anaplan lacks support for reporting analytics and it requires large collaborative organizations to carry out execution. Also I would like to mention that Storing data and scheduling plans can be problematic sometimes. The creators of the tool should address these issues and update the features. Moreover Anaplan experiences buffering issues when editing cells and encounters problems when computing large data sets. On the other hand it is easy to install but its not user friendly for an average user. Also It requires comprehensive training to understand and execute functions.

First and foremost this software is very easy to understand and its exciting to work on Excel using this system. The drill down feature makes troubleshooting errors while operating functions simple. Additionally Anaplans sales offer the "fat fingering" key to easily remove data. It integrates seamlessly with other systems and allows for building the best product development team.
Cons
Anaplan is a decent tool but it has limitations that make it less likeable. It doesn't handle high integration functions well and lacks a wide range of event workflows. Additionally it doesn't provide satisfactory report analytical services even at a high granularity.

I support a TMC team in the hospitality space and we use Anaplan for our performance metrics and program management. Anaplan presents data in a visually pleasing manner and allows for easily exportable graphs for our clients.
Cons
Overall I am very much satisfied with the product. However I must say faster uploads would be very much appreciated. It is coming From an administrators perspective.

Before Anaplan we relied on Excel documents that required multiple versions and iterations. We in the beginning used it for financial planning and expanded into other solutions. Our goal is to integrate new models into this tool similar to power users I have seen at Anaplan conferences to have all our data on one platform.
Cons
The initial setup requires significant learning and time. The training session lasts several days and still requires additional follow up and communication with the implementation team. Graphs and data visualization are also lacking compared to Tableau or even Excel.

Cons

Setting up the model on which the "spreadsheet" runs requires a highly knowledgeable Anaplan partner. Without one you will become a frustrated user.

The major strength of this software is the adaptability of the product. You can build almost anything you want with the platform. Replacing existing Excel models only takes a few hours. As for the vendor they constantly upgrade the system. They release almost 3 to 5 upgrades every year. I have even had some of my personal requests added to the roadmap and eventually included in an upgrade. They truly listen to their customers feedback on what to work on next.
Cons
The products metadata management is excellent within a single model but it becomes annoying when sharing the same metadata across models. The vendors pricing model is unfavorable as they lure you in with a small workspace that quickly becomes insufficient, then charge exorbitant fees per GB of extra space needed for your original plans.
