Very good tool for small Orgs
Pros

The navigation system and categorization are excellent. I like the auto-save feature which eliminates the need to manually save everything. Additionally, the SSO feature makes it convenient to log in using my SSO provider.

Cons

The UI/UX is quite poor. They really need to work on it. Some scrum concepts are outdated and should be upgraded to cater to a larger user base. The response time is slow and the process can be confusing at times.

Worst agile project management tool
Pros

The tool offers a wide range of features that are beneficial for managing larger projects.

Cons

VersionOne has a very complex and non-intuitive user interface, which adds to the workload for project managers, product owners and team members. It becomes very challenging to maintain an overview of the project status and product backlog. Unlike Jira/Confluence, it doesn't allow for professional descriptions of requirements, technical architectures, and tests.

End to end software development project control
Pros

VersionOne was the first software my development team used, and it fulfilled most of our needs for streamlined software development using agile techniques like scrum and kanban. Planning and managing sprints, defining epics, stories, tasks and bugs was incredibly easy. It also allowed us to visualize burnout and identify deviations from the plan early on.

Cons

The interface occasionally experiences slowness, and performing mass updates of artifacts is not user-friendly.

Chock full of features, but it can be overwhelming.
Pros

There are numerous features and tools available to assist in an agile environment. Creating and maintaining stories is simple, and the Kanban board and team member navigation are clear and effective.

Cons

There are numerous features and navigation options, leading our Scrum Masters to use the tool differently and have disagreements on its usage. Certain actions, like time tracking, require navigating to different areas of the tool. The URL becomes inactive after a few hours. We have encountered slowdowns and hang-ups, suggesting high resource consumption.

Best Agile Management tool
Pros

This is the best tool for managing sprint backlogs and issue trackers. VersionOne is specifically designed to support agile and lean software delivery processes. The dashboard option is exceptional.

Great for Agile Development
Pros

I like that VersionOne offers so many configurable options for each story, making it easy to track data from sprint to sprint. It works well in a large company where different teams can have their own rooms and track progress on boards.

Cons

The tool can be buggy, and the server occasionally goes down. Accessing different fields on stories is not the best and the saving feature is inconsistent, leading to frustration.

VersionOne review
Pros

It's a reliable industry-standard software for managing Agile/Scrum and DevOps projects. It's particularly useful when describing defects, epics, stories or features, each with different estimations and levels of severity.

Cons

Occasionally, it causes a lot of confusion when it is necessary to edit/update an established Epic description for a project. However, it seems this issue can be resolved with proper access permissions.

Good Agile Project Management
Pros

This tool includes integrated Business Intelligence reports and provides online tutorials for support. It can be linked with different scrum methodologies like kanban, and there is even a provision for risk management and mitigation.

Cons

VersionOne Agile Management
Pros

In my experience, VersionOne is one of the most comprehensive and innovative platforms for agile solutions. The integration between different teams involved in the software lifecycle is a standout feature. The ability to connect teams and processes ensures fast and efficient product/software delivery, all within the same tool. One notable characteristic is the possibility of interacting with other teams, sharing ideas, stories, or concerns, as well as tracking tasks, stories, and test cases, and even design.

Cons

VersionOne has a wide range of features that make it a robust and comprehensive tool. However, the same abundance of features can be overwhelming during implementation and configuration. It requires time and training to fully leverage its capabilities. While the constant updates are commendable, they can sometimes hinder efficiency when users are accustomed to certain functions and need to complete actions quickly.

Looks nice, however time will be wasted
Pros

This web tool has a sleek and attractive appearance, and it's incredibly fast when handling items. However, that is about all the pros I can mention. Perhaps if there was a week-long training available, it would make using this software more manageable.

Cons

This software is not user-friendly. The menus appear and disappear, resulting in wasted time trying to use it effectively. Sometimes, pen and paper would be more efficient for planning roles.

The continuous delivery platform by VersionOne
Pros

Version Continuum has greatly improved our software development process by implementing DevOps methodologies which results in reduced risk and enhanced quality. Its seamless integration with third-party tools like JIRA, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, Bamboo, AWS, BitBucket and more makes it a top-tier enterprise-level DevOps solution. The option to track issues through code, binaries and successful tests has significantly improved our delivery process. We can also assess risks using metrics before deploying code to the production environment. Additionally, the agentless architecture ensures security compliance without the need for additional software installation on remote hosts.

Cons

Continuum offers a plethora of features to cover all aspects of software development, but this can make the implementation process complex. VersionOne should prioritize support and make documentation more accessible. Enhancing the setup wizard for Continuum would streamline implementation and reduce time investment.

Pros

agile development issue tracking
Pros

VersionOne offers an excellent range of features for creating and tracking issues, stories, defects and more. I also like the filterable pages, such as storyboards and taskboards, which allow for efficient organization. The "My Work" view quickly brings up the items assigned to me. The click and drag functionality on most pages, such as moving a story from "in progress" to "done," adds to the user-friendly experience.

Cons

Some aspects lack intuitiveness. For instance, there have been instances where I expected to log my time from a particular page but spent a while clicking around before finding the right option. It is not always easy to quickly locate what I am looking for.

Pros

VersionOne's clean, easy-to-use and powerful user interface is impressive. It provides a good experience and allows me to quickly see what my team is working on. The seamless integration with our agile workflow is another aspect I enjoy.

Cons

Pros

Great reporting for execs, horribly inefficient for everyone else
Pros

VersionOne offers an extensive range of features, and while it may be overwhelming at times, the reporting capabilities are inclusive once you become familiar with them.

Cons

Pretty much everything else. The UI is clunky and an eyesore to look at. It requires far too many clicks to perform even the simplest tasks. Finding items is always a tedious task. The testing aspect of the tool feels like an afterthought. Even working with the APIs demands excessive effort. Honestly, the entire tool gives the impression that it was designed for waterfall methodology and had agile features tacked on later.

A very robust work tracking tool for software development, but also overly complicated at times.
Pros

VersionOne provides excellent reporting tools for upper management. It offers visually appealing graphs for burndown charts and detailed views of sprint progress and planned work.

Cons

Unfortunately, filling out daily work is time-consuming and awkward, and planning takes a while due to the lag associated with the online service. Sometimes, after clicking on something to update, I have to wait several seconds before I can start typing, and then wait again to confirm and save the transaction. This makes it difficult to get engineers to use it consistently. A tool like this is only useful when used consistently. Unfortunately, its complexity makes it more of a chore to work with, and often team members don't want to use it.

We use this to track projects and the progress of those projects
Pros

VersionOne allows us to track ideas from inception to completion. We utilize it to break projects into epics, stories, and workable tasks for our development team. Some teams work within sprint boundaries, while others utilize the Kanban features. I can monitor the progress of either team at any given time.

Cons

The Epic or Portfolio section of VersionOne seems like an afterthought. Not all subscriptions utilize them, so they are not consistently incorporated into reporting and other functions. We use the Epic section to track significant functionality pieces, but we have to associate them with overall projects outside the software. The toolbar is not available on all screens, so navigation can be tricky if you're not familiar with VersionOne's quirks.
