Best Task management tool avl in the market

A rich layer ontop of GitHub issues
Pros

The integration with GitHub is fantastic. Kanban works exceptionally well and both Epics and Stories are highly developed features. It fulfills all my expectations for a tool to manage tickets in an agile manner.

Cons

Occasionally, the UI falls shorts in fulfilling the expectations. It is not as ideal as I used to think. For instance you might mistakenly click out of a sidebar/modal thinking your changes were saved when they weren't. but once you get accustomed to it, it is not a major issue. although it reappears during estimation sessions.

ZenHub: the successful GitHub Project Management Plugin
Pros

The project scheduling and management features are advanced and sometimes surpass leading project management software on the market. It is compatible with GitHub making it ideal for software projects. The enterprise version offers a comprehensive set of collaborative tools for developers, complementing those available in GitHub. Tasks can be created and managed flexibly with an intuitive GUI interaction. As the missing piece in GitHub's project management, ZenHub is the perfect synergy for collaborative project management in large-scale software projects. Tracking software issues and bugs is also greatly facilitated. However, we still rely on GitHub for these management tasks.

Cons

The pricing is a bit high for large scale projects. A more flexible licensing strategy would be more appealing. There are some occasional GUI bugs but the developers are very responsive to bug reports.

You CANT trust this software
Pros

It is appealing as a superior dashboard for GitHub.

Cons

I invested hours setting up our PM system on ZenHub. However a week after the setup, just days before a important release, the records mysteriously vanished bringing our PM system to a halt. I reached out to the ZenHub team and they were slow to respond. It became apparent that ZenHub is operated by a small team that isn't very well prepared to provide a reliable experience that individuals and companies can rely on. It is been 48 hours and my records are still missing... the ZenHub team seems unable or unwilling to prioritize our issue. We had to postpone our release and I will spend this weekend migrating our PM process to another system.

Easiest to use for scrum/kanban
Pros

ZenHub has been a powerhouse in my project management arsenal. The simplicity and available integrations are amazing. It is easy to understand and integrates seamlessly with the team. I can have multiple boards and synchronize tickets across them based on predefined rules. Whenever I take on a new project, this is my go to option. I can set up feature tickets or bug tickets from the support board to automatically flow into the development boards and sync with the product roadmap board. The programmability is incredible, and it generates perfect reports as needed. Its simplicity and ease of use make it my top choice.

Cons

I have nothing but good things to say about ZenHub.

Powerful project management and status tracking for development and product teams
Pros

The kanban board provides invaluable insights into our development teams activities. Tracking the status in this manner is truly helpful as it allows me to know when to engage in the process, whether during the estimation phase or the QA phase. As a product designer I can keep track of where GitHub issues stand, easily provide feedback during the quality assurance process and answer design-related questions for the development team. My favorite feature is the integration with GitHub which adds an extremely helpful layer for project management and estimation.

Cons

I genuinely have nothing bad to say about it. It perfectly meets our project management needs.

Great product that is central to our engineering workflow
Pros

We rely on ZenHub to prioritize and track progress on GitHub issues. It plays a key role in our engineering workflow. Our engineers and product manager use it daily to prioritize tasks. The product team uses ZenHub to communicate progress on different projects to the rest of the team.

Cons

I don't have anything bad to say for this product. It is very simple and user friendly. The team must have put in a lot of effort to make it this simple and user-friendly.

Take GitHub Issue management to the Next Level!
Pros

ZenHubs clean and simple user interface makes issues more understandable and fun. We can find everything we need in one place, all while maintaining ease. With the latest update ZenHub has made issues load even faster than before. Since we started using ZenHub we never leave it for issues and PRs. You can create a workspace and combine all your repositories into a single workspace, managing all issues and milestones from one place.

Cons

Currently, the only feature we are missing is the ability to see the commit hash when an issue is closed via Git push.

The only solution for teams that depend on GitHub
Pros

I have discovered a brilliant solution to overcome the challenge of GitHub's subpar API and data model which makes it nearly impossible for integrations to provide real value without unnecessary complexity. ZenHub offers just the right set of features to simplify our lives while minimizing overhead.

Cons

Occasionally (although rarely) updates made through ZenHub may not register properly. So it's necessary to open the GitHub project to modify issues and milestones.

Awesome organizing tool that adds to the feeling of accomplishment
Pros

It allows me to visualize issues associated with specific subjects clearly. Filtering between issues is effortless. Additionally my team uses it to organize issues per person for each sprint cycle.

Cons

Nice connection to github
Pros

It has the familiar column setup for product management found in most PM tools. One advantage I have noticed compared to other PM software is the ability to nest epics within other epics. This allows for grouping multiple epics under a single epic to represent larger pieces of work.

Cons

One limitation which I have noticed is that it is limited to kanban boards. You can't have separate boards for different teams within your source (or I haven't figured out how). Everyone ends up working off the same board. While you can set up columns to represent your sprint it is not as simple as it is in something like Jira.

Zenhub makes it easier to manage current sprint work
Pros

Previously we stored all our upcoming and ongoing work issues in GitHub as we use to use GitHub Projects for our scrum board. With the ZenHub extension we now have workspaces that greatly simplify agile work management!

Cons

It is quite common for the ZenHub tab to fail to load. Usually refreshing the page resolves the issue but occasionally, further troubleshooting is necessary.

Very simple but wouldn't use it
Pros

It is suitable for simple projects if you prefer not to use any additional software since GitHub already serves as a repository. However overall, I wouldn't recommend it for more complex projects.

Cons

It can be slow, lacks certain features and has some bugs. Additionally, the absence of a command+f search function is obvious.

Easier way to manage GitHub Projects, Tickets and Sprints
Pros

When it comes to staying on top of a sprint and rearranging tickets within projects ZenHub makes it significantly easier compared to GitHub.

Cons

The software does come with a cost and I am uncertain if the features it offers are worth paying for each team member to access ZenHub.

Project Management Tools for the Dev Savvy
Pros

ZenHub has allowed our QA and Product Management teams to collaborate swiftly and effectively with Development on issues, workflows and processes. The customizable Kanban board enhances our planning capabilities helping us organize our team's time and work management. Collapsible pipelines and filters enable different teams to focus solely on what is important and relevant to their respective areas.

Cons

When dealing with multiple repositories and a complex workflow, ZenHub tends to load slowly. Having additional automation options such as automated issue assignment based on pipeline changes would be a significant improvement. If these options already exist, they should be made easier to discover and implement.

Supercharge GitHub!
Pros

I am thrilled by how this software takes an existing feature (GitHub issue) and elevates it to new heights providing a faster, more reliable, and efficient way to organize work for teams of any size. I have been using it with a small team of web developers and it has significantly improved our sprint planning and communication of progress to stakeholders.

Cons

The learning curve might appear steep initially, as you need to familiarize yourself with how GitHub features like issues and labels translate to concepts like milestones and epics. However once you understand the concept you will surely appreciate this software.

Power tools for GitHub issues
Pros

With ZenHub, I can easily get an overview of my GitHub issues status like what's new, in progress and done. It conveniently combines issues from multiple GitHub repositories into one board which is perfect for managers. It maintains the clean and familiar look of GitHub.

Cons

ZenHub tends to be overkill for most teams. GitHubs labels and milestone, along with its robust search functionality, are sufficient for organizing and tracking issues.

Seamless planning layer for GitHub issues
Pros

It seamlessly integrates with the original GitHub site through the Chrome/Firefox plugin. Not only does it provide detailed guidance on using the tools but also offers valuable insights into managing agile projects in general. The interface and usability experience are truly sleek and well-designed.

Cons

There are a few details that I hope will improve with time: 1. It would be great if sub-issues of an Epic could be ordered (properly sequencing them when viewing is important). 2. I miss the ability to incorporate automated actions such as: 2.1. Moving an issue to a specific pipeline when a code review is requested. 2.2. Moving an issue to a particular pipeline when a code review is approved. 2.3. Assigning an issue to a specific team member when it's moved to a pipeline. 3. ZenHub provides a "Done" pipeline but the issues there aren't counted as "done" in the reports. 4. Currently ZenHub allows viewing issues as pop-ups in the pipelines and I wish the same experience was available in the Epic planning board.

It's powerful to integrate directly into your GitHub project
Pros

The kanban tasks are directly linked to the GitHub project, providing all the issue details just a single click away. It is effortless to configure sprints and milestones as well.

Cons

The customization options for the Kanban flow are limited and it can be challenging to use for projects that aren't closely tied to development. Additionally the layout is less visually appealing compared to other Kanban tools.

Zenhub finally made my developers care about the administration
Pros

Since my teams code exist in in GitHub so do my developers. We used to use JIRA for change and defect management but developers found it not very friendly. However, with GitHub that's not the case.

Cons

The UI has certain inconsistencies that bother me. Firstly Text fields don't retain their value until you press update whereas dropdowns update as soon as you release the mouse. This creates uncertainty about whether a specific change was applied or not. Secondly, The close button places the ticket in the closed state (in addition to closing the window) but there is no pop-up message confirming completion or requesting additional details. Particularly in the beginning this made it too easy to accidentally remove tickets from the board.

Pros

Pros

It is impressive how quickly I can set up a board and seamlessly integrate it with GitHub. The epics feature is particularly exceptional.

Cons

Better than the regular GitHub Ticketing Feature
Pros

ZenHub significantly enhances productivity when working with ticketing features within GitHub. It organizes all tickets in a modern software development view and offers excellent reporting tools. The integration with GitHub is seamless.

Cons

When compared to other issue/bug tracking products ZenHub doesn't offer as many features. It seems like the release of enhancements is slow and it's unclear if feedback and enhancement requests are implemented promptly. I often come across enhancement requests that I agree with but find them closed or delayed.

Pros

ZenHubs integration with GitHub allows me to access the program using my GitHub login. It provides an intuitive layout for monitoring the progress of the projects I manage. I have completely replaced JIRA with ZenHub for task delegation to my team members at work, including disaster recovery management.

Zenhub is a lightweight project management tool embedded to your github repo.
Pros

It is a fantastic complement to GitHub as it encompasses most of the functions required for agile project management, requiring only the installation of the add-on. The documentation is also excellent.

Cons

The main issue I encounter with this tool is that I wish there was a way to create a board without a repository. This might not be a flaw but rather a unique feature that I occasionally miss.

Pros

I like the fact that ZenHub is built directly on top of GitHub which eliminates the need to visit another site for all the information. The boards view is a fantastic way to see all my issues or filter them by epic, among other options.
