Navigating Visual Matrix is quite simple. Each function is easily locatable. The Front Office/Reservations function has the most impact on me. I appreciate how all the options are neatly laid out at the top of the screen, making navigation seamless. As we handle daily calls from guests looking to book rooms and check availability, it's essential to have a program that allows us to switch between screens with minimal clicks. Visual Matrix seamlessly integrates with our existing business processes. For example, I can work on two instances of the program simultaneously, which is incredibly helpful when providing guests with information without interrupting my work on the first page. This flexibility is fantastic!
Cons
Recently we encountered difficulties when handling voucher pre payments for guests who haven't booked their stays yet on Visual Matrix. The challenge lies in determining where to post such payments since there is no booking to attach them to. It would be greatly appreciated if a function could be introduced to address this issue. Additionally, there seems to be an integration problem between Visual Matrix and our Guest WiFi provider, Intello. Guests are unable to connect to the hotel WiFi using their check-in credentials (Last Name & Room Number).

Learning Visual Matrix is a breeze with the provided video training. Training new staff members is a straightforward process. I have successfully implemented this property management software at two properties, and our teams quickly adapted to it. The technical support team is friendly and easily accessible.
Cons
The revenue management tools are not efficient for non-Best Western members. Having experience with both Best Western and independent properties, there is a missed opportunity for independent properties to effectively manage their rates and leverage the provided tools.

I believe Best Western Dartmouth Inn 22055 faced numerous challenges regarding staff training and customization. Comparing it to Jonus Chorum, which we were accustomed to Visual Matrix was definitely easier to use. However our accounting department and operations staff encountered several issues with the different reporting structure. I have compared Jonush Chorum's reporting to that of Opera, Choice Advantage, and other PMS systems we use, and they all have similar reporting. There is much that can be said about this and I am willing to help you develop a better product. Currently the reports are unsatisfactory.

Cons
Since we take deposits upon check-in, the software doesn't allow us to transfer an authorization to a new reservation. This forces the staff to obtain a new authorization for back-to-back reservations.

It would be great to have better functionality in the billing/cashiering section. For example, the ability to move voided charges off the folio for clearer guest folios. It would also be helpful to have the accompanying name displayed on the reservation instead of having to search for it. Finding reports should be made easier, and guest comments should appear when making a new reservation. Additionally, having more space to write comments would be beneficial.

The entire system is user friendly and easy to train on. During the setup process, we received fantastic assistance from the team, who was always available to answer questions and provide help.

The online training was lengthy and lacked hands-on opportunities. However, once I had the chance to see and work in the system, learning the ins and outs became much easier.
